RS Components, REFLECT 2019 -
In August 2019, we proudly attended an impactful event held in the vibrant heart of South London known as REflect. This collaborative effort between the esteemed institutions of The IET and RS Components was meticulously crafted to champion the cause of diversity and inclusion in the realm of engineering and technology
careers. With a focused mission on reaching out to the Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) community and individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds, the event served as a beacon of opportunity,
illuminating pathways towards a promising future. Among the passionate attendees were Inside Success, Adam Knights, Yewande Akinola, Pascal Akaraonye, Silas Adekunle, Terry Jervis, Zubar Miah, Colleen Wong, Jane Tran, and other influential figures. Together, we lent our support to this noble cause, standing shoulder to shoulder with passionate advocates for diversity and inclusion.
Inside Success brought along a group of young people aged between 16 and 24, aiming to inspire, encourage, and empower them amidst the vibrant atmosphere of REflect. Witnessing the enthusiasm and potential within these budding talents was truly inspiring. Our presence at REflect underscored our commitment to nurturing diverse talent and fostering a more inclusive future in STEM. Through mentorship and guidance, we sought to instil confidence and ambition in these young minds, propelling them towards a trajectory of success in the dynamic fields of technology and innovation.
RS Components, REFLECT 2022
At Reflect 2022, Inside Success made a profound impact by attending with our passionate young people aged between 16 and 24. By immersing them in this inspiring environment, we opened their eyes to the wealth of new opportunities awaiting them in the fields of engineering and technology. Together, we celebrated the exceptional talent within the Global Ethnic Majority (GEM) and took positive
action to address the underrepresentation of these communities in STEM fields.
Reflect was more than just an event; it was an uplifting celebration of exceptionally talented individuals. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our eloquent host, George The Poet, and our esteemed speakers who graced the stage with humility and authenticity. Through powerful insights shared by speakers such as Hannah Awonuga, Mark Martin, Jack Parsons, Dr Nike Folayan MBE, Yeshua Carter, and Shereen Daniels, we gained valuable perspectives on how businesses can attract,
develop, and progress global ethnic majority talent, thereby positively impacting our communities.
Our presence at Reflect exemplifies our commitment to nurturing diverse talent and fostering a more inclusive future in STEM. Together, let's continue to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators.
